Rite of the Nine Dungeon Rotation in Destiny 2

Destiny 2 provides players with an exciting revamp to three epic Dungeons: Spire of the Watcher, Ghosts of the Deep, and Prophecy, thanks to the Rite of the Nine event. This event acts as a prelude to the next Destiny 2 expansion with The Edge of Fate, releasing on July 15, and as such, there is quite a bit of free Dungeon content for players to enjoy.

Destiny 2 epic conclusion to the Light and Darkness Saga. the weekly grind continues with the likes of the Exotic Mission Rotator, Trials of Osiris and Xur offerings, with the each having unique rewards up for the grabs.

Episode Heresy continues to the traditions of having different raids and dungeons each week, but there are two of this each, giving you more choice over what to farm. There are Vesper host in rotation following the launch of Sundered Doctorine.

The dungeon and raids are featured to plan your grind properly. If you miss rotation that has something you want to farm, this wont be featured again for several weeks. There are the featured raids and dungeons for this week.

Dungeon Rotation: Featured Dungeons this week

The week featured Dungeons are Spire of the Watcher and Pit of Hersey which will remain featured until May 20.

There are currently has no pattern to the Dungeon rotation in Episode Heresy due, in the part to the addition of Vesper Host, which was previously not working as intended. There are update the table the table below folwwing Destiny 2 weekly reset on May 20,2025.

Destiny 2: Raids and Dungeons Rotation this Week

🚨 Rotation changes

With Update 8.1.0, Bungie changed the Raid and Dungeons rotation. There are now two featured Raids and two featured Dungeons each week:

Warlord’s Ruin will enter the rotator queue, so there will be eight raids and eight dungeons in total. So, it’s fitting then that we double the number of featured rotator activities available every week. This way, the max time that can pass between a specific raid or dungeon will be four weeks.

But wait, it gets even better. The weekly raid and dungeon are fully farmable:

Oh, wait, you said you liked farming? We got you there too with the new rotator system. All lockouts on encounter rewards for Legendary gear are being removed, which means all Legendary drops in both raids and dungeons will be 100-percent farmable if you so choose.

Also, the featured raid and dungeon will also reward players with Pinnacle gear:

For the weekly rotation, completing the final encounter in any of the chosen raids or dungeons will award a Pinnacle drop from a Weekly Challenge.

I finished Grasp of Aravice for the first time so i can prog the Gally quest , but when i finished the dungeon i got some nice arms from the Echo set , i finished the dungeon a second time because i really want the whole fit since its hard but i got absolutely nothing the second time. I looked it up and someone said that you cant really get loot/farm if its not the the weekly dungeon. So question is , is that true and are you just not able to farm for the armor until weekly reset?

Learning the raid and dungeon rotation in Destiny 2 is great for farming loot you don’t have yet, and for increasing your Power in Destiny 2.

As of the Episode: Revenant update in October 2024, Bungie showcases which activity is featured (via an icon on the map), and there are now two featured raids and dungeons per week. But Destiny 2 still doesn’t tell you in-game what raids and dungeons are planned for future weeks.

In this Destiny 2 rotation reference, we’ll tell you why featured raids and dungeons matter, and give you a calendar representing which endgame activity is featured this week. These activities always cycle in and out on Tuesdays at the weekly reset for Destiny 2.

There are two featured raids per week, and they cycle in a staggered order. The newest raid, Salvation’s Edge, does not movie in the rotation and won’t appear as a featured raid until a new raid comes out.
