The couple next door episode 3 recap

'The Couple Next Door's Latest Episode Feels Designed To Make You Uncomfortable

Editor's note: The below contains spoilers for The Couple Next Door Episode 3.

Suburbia has never been steamier than in The Couple Next Door; a series that turns unloading moving trucks and taking out the bins into foreplay. Among its multiple unfolding storylines currently, the series excels in the mounting sexual tension between the two main couples. Even the most hardened erotica fans will be squirming in anticipation when, specifically, Evie (Eleanor Tomlinson) and Danny (Sam Heughan) enter the screen. But what's really effective about this tantalizing atmosphere is not only the heightened level of arousal, but the distinct feeling of discomfort that arrives with it. We feel both the forbidden sexual tension and the creeping anxiety that fills the air: smothering us, exciting us, and stressing us out.

In the first two episodes of The Couple Next Door, the forbidden allure that Evie and Danny have for each other is executed in a fairly standard, but nonetheless efficient way. Holding eye

The episode begins with Jacob Roberts (Sam Palladio) daydreaming about sleeping with Mia (Aggy K Adams). Seconds later, he is joined by Charlotte ‘Lottie’ Roberts (Annabel Scholey), who apologizes for drinking too much and falling asleep the night before. He asks if she remembers him putting her to bed and then offers her fresh coffee. She apologizes for not getting to finish what they started and asks if Mia stayed long. He tells her no.

Lottie apologizes to Mia for passing out early. Mia tells her it’s okay because they managed to have fun without her. Lottie then thanks Mia for stirring things up and says it worked because Jacob is now taking her away for their anniversary. Mia asks where they are going. Lottie says Antwerp but swears Mia to secrecy because she says she saw the booking on Jacob’s computer, and he doesn’t know she knows.  This is interrupted when Jacob comes outside. As soon as Jacob and Lottie leave, Alan Richardson (Hugh Dennis) comes walking by with the paper. Mia asks to see it, but apparently doesn’t find what she is looking for.

At the hospital, Mia sees Jacob taking a patient’s ADHD medication. She takes the b

You're sat down ready to watch the first episode of The Couple Next Door season two - you're excited, you remember the first season being great, but... what exactly happened in series one again? But don't worry - we've got you covered.

The Couple Next Door returned to Channel 4 on Monday July 14 - with the whole series airing on its streaming platform too. This time around, a whole new cast of characters are living on the close - after the explosive ending to series one, none of the four main characters are (understandably) still hanging around. This article contains spoilers for The Couple Next Door episode 3.

The Couple Next Door is a psychological drama revolving around the complicated relationship between two sets of neighbors. There's Evie (Eleanor Tomlinson) and Pete (Alfred Enoch), two lovers who've just moved into the area, and their new neighbors, traffic cop Danny (Outlander's Sam Heughan) and his fitness instructor wife, Becka (Jessica De Gouw).

After the group's revelatory beach trip in episode two (wherein Pete and Evie learned about Danny and Becka being non-monogamous), Evie's curiosity about the arrangement (and Danny!) has only deepened. In the third episode, the pair headed off for a spa trip with Danny and Becka, where the sexual tension between the two couples finally bubbled over. Plus, Danny's colleague Gary hinted that there would be consequences for what happened during the hijacking, and Alan's obsession with Becka deepened even further. Here's a full recap of everything that happened in The Couple Next Door episode 3.

Simply because, those secrets will indeed eventually come forward and that will be an unpleasant experience for certain. Where we feel shocked, and guilty and everything in between, and well, it turns out the series has more to explore regarding this particularly poor choice on our part. Since the next chapter in this harrowing journey took the time to point out the other reason why we shouldn’t lie and keep secrets.

In that, there will be hell to pay when the truth comes out, and ‘The Ultimatum’ explored that in a bevy of ways. For instance, Alan’s part in ruining Becka’s life and career was revealed at last, and that prompted an intense visit from Becka, where she tore him dow
