Thread: Legacy client login issues
Thank you Traffer, that worked for me on 1 occasion, but a player I was trying to saunter through the process last bedtime couldn't even get that to work.
Something funny appears to have happened at UPlay since the login changes earlier this year, it appears to call to mind the names we created but not the email addresses attached to them. On my troublesome account I was able to login via UPlay using email address, or Legacy with account name, but in recent months only the latter worked.
I have assumed people have decipher this guide as well, but seems some have not, this guide will help fill in the gaps in my process:

I would also recommend looking at the forums of diesiedleronline.de using a browser such as Chrome that can translate a page, some good ideas creature suggested for unique problems.
The client is also very flaky in starting up, the 1st attempt usually creates an error message behind your browser screen which needs closing before trying again.
It can easily accept 6 or 7 attempts before it fires up, I discover sometimes refreshing your browser helps if it's failing a lo

Thread: Ubisoft Guide - Step by Step
Solution: Account not verified (FORUM)
The error message should appear as a popup when you try to access the forum.
There is also a banner with the same error message if you try to access the forum directly.
You are then not able to post/comment on anything in the forum.
Reason: Your Ubisoft account was not fully verified. Not the "The Settlers Online" account.
You should have an email with instructions on how to verify your Ubisoft account.
If you can't find this message, you can also access your account directly via Ubisoft:
https://account.ubisoft.com/
Here you will find a popup/banner and a note that your Ubisoft account still needs to be verified.
After successful verification, you have to log out of the forum/website/game (completely).
In the meantime, please clear your cache and log in again. Afterwards, the forum should work as usual.Thread: Cannot login - Says "Invalid Date"

In my case, I'm a first time user and the process was a doozy. I was just trying to directly connect my UPlay account because of the login field, and got this problem through the forums and the in game portals.
I don't know if your friend was in the exact same boat as me, but I ended up deciding to "register", which only consisted of logging in a username and password. Eventually, I just logged in my UPlay account afterwards without this error, and somehow the accounts successfully merged. I have no idea how that worked.
The exact reason for the error is really unknown to me at this time, but I would find it curious if the claim it's a conflict with UPlay as Gwalben is suggesting. Originally, I took this issue up in the Ubisoft forums, where I was directed to contact their support and they ultimately advised me it was on this end, not theirs. So, me having to do the dirty work without assistance and somehow get it working is quite a feat.
