Rundown Preamble Ramble:
Game Fighter Animard is Dope!

Starting off this week, friend of the site Chari has been translating old manga lost to time yet again, and delivered a pair of comics from the legendary Go Nagai (Devilman, Mazinger Z, Cutie Honey). The first of which, Change Sabu, will be the subject for April’s TSF Showcase. But today I want to talk about the other work they translated, Game Fighter Animard. A 1992 video game themed isekai about a prolific gamer, Jun, being isekai’d into a magical game where he and his friend, must save this digital world from a great demon king. Also, the protagonist turns into a blonde bombshell dressed in next to nothing but underwear and shoulder blades, a la Valis, Athena, Valkyrie no Boken, Popful Mail, etc.

Upon realizing this, I was a bit concerned about how genuine this would all feel. Nagai would have been in his late 40s when he wrote this comic, a bit beyond the target demographic of games of this era. However, he expresses an earnest fascination and respect for the trends, iconography, and tropes of video games of this era. To the point where I could easily b

'Digimon World: Next Order' Review: Battle, Train, Sleep, Die, Repeat

Yu-gi-Oh!, Pokemon, Dragon Ball Z, even Metabots , were all great television shows used to sell merchandising to ‘90s kids, but Digimon was my favorite. My room was filled with mini Patamons with flapping wings, transforming Kabuterimons and Ikkakumons , and Digimon World 1 constantly running on my Playstation one. When I read about Digimon World: Next Order, a new game that allowed you to walk around with two different Digimon partners and concern for them like I did on Digital Island decades ago, I had the highest hopes. Does Digimon World: Next Order live up to my unnecessarily high expectations?

TL;DR: It’s a long game. I’m 12 hours into Digimon World: Next Order and I’m barely done with chapter one.

Is Digimon World: Next Order A Worthy Successor To Digimon World 1?

Digimon World: Next Order is an open-world RPG where it’s your job to bring back the inhabitants to a city after a Machinedramon attack. To help you on your mission, you’ll have two Digimon partners by your side, who you will help digivolve from a little baby

Is there a way to see how many Training Failures (TFs) your digimon have?
I've only been able to see them via their "history" (evoultion charts) & if they need more or less of them but there is no value in their "status" for me to see how many they have. I made it to ultimate on my first run & wanted to get them to mega before they revert back to an egg o_o

Double Your Digimon; No Extra Charge - Let's Play Digimon World: Next Order

Meet DigiDana, she’ll be our hero for the rest of the tutorial Files. She has superior taste in Digivice colors and she deserves a moment to shine.

Now, back to where we left off…

“This is a tremendous success! Then their rebirths will be complete.”
“Just remember: As their Tamer, you have a duty to care for them.”
“I still have no idea what’s going on.”
“Hmm… You don’t seem to understand what’s what.
I am just as in the dark as you. I wonder what is going on…
Why don’t we go to my house, and you can tell me your story?
Looks like Tokomon is still unconscious. We can treat him there.”

We follow Jijimon into his little circuit hut.

“So you were sucked in by the Digivice, and unluckily fell into the dimension I created…
and then your partners in the Digivice defeated Machinedramon for me. I see.
Coincidence has been our friend today. I owe you my thanks, DigiDana. Actually…
This world is at a crisis point. As you can see, the city we are in, Floatia, is in disarray.”

“It’s

Digimon World Next Order’s Digivolution mechanic is both complex and rewarding, which can seem a little overwhelming at times. This Digimon World: Next Order Digivolution Conditions Guide covers everything you need to know about reaching those conditions as well as information pertaining to the individual conditions for every Digimon.

Digimon World: Next Order Digivolution Conditions Guide

Digivolution Conditions are unique requirements that must be met in order to Digivolve into a specific Digimon. Most of these, such as HP or strength requirements, are pretty self explanatory, while others need more explanation. TF for example is Tamer Fails, meaning how many times you’ve let your Digimon soil themselves. While Victory is the amount of battles your Digimon has won (not the amount of Digimon they have defeated).

You can unlocked information on Digivolution Conditions whenever you praise or scold your Digimon, you can also trade in Digivolution items at the Dojo – although this unlocks a random Digivolution Condition and not always for the Digimon you want. But have no fear, there’s a fantastic tool you’ll want to get a hold of.
