At its heart is Diana, a suburban wife and mother living with bipolar disorder and haunted by her past. This musical includes a lot of heavy themes: mental health, depression, suicide, grief, loss of a child, medical treatments, and opioid addiction. The protagonist copes with being diagnosed bipolar and loosing her son. We see her struggling with the side effects of her medications and decide to no longer take them. Once off of the medication, she harms herself.
